Unlike trust wallet, using cross chains and para chains on MetaMask is a bit tricky. Well, just a bit…it’s actually simpler and more understandable once you grasp the set up and the simple tweaks. MetaMask allows you use any cross chain of your choice by simply adding a few tweaks. Due to popular request, I’ll be taking you through these very easy steps to set up your MetaMask to use Binance smart chain, on one condition anyways! Check out Robinia swap, a new DeFi platform launching in a couple of days on Binance Smart Chain! You can assess this platform from your MetaMask, Trust and Many other wallets.
With over 10 million confirmed users, MetaMask is one of the most used Ethereum wallets, with support from ethereum developers, it is arguably the most trustable wallet to store your ether and other cross chain tokens and even more! Long story cut short, lets get to it.
Now, MetaMask comes in Chrome extension and a mobile application, which ever one you are using, the steps are basically the same. I’ll assume you already have the Metamask Extension or wallet installed and your ethereum account set up properly, if not, simply Download the wallet and set up your wallet properly, safeguard your seed phrase…very important!
Now you’ve logged into your MetaMask, click on the circle icon on the top right corner and select “Settings”
Select ‘Network’ from the available options (probably at the left corner) and click ‘Add network’
In the form that pops up, fill in the following accordingly;
Network Name: Binance Smart Chain
New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/
ChainID: 56
Symbol: BNB
Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com
Click save, Binance Smart Chain can now be assessed via your MetaMask wallet. Simply click the drop down menu beside the circle Icon at the top right corner of your wallet and select Binance smart Chain from the Menu.
If you’re using MetaMask extension, simply visit any DApp from your Chrome wallet to connect to Binance smart Chain. Mobile Application Users can use the Binance Smart Chain Via the DApp browser. Click the Menu at the top left corner and select ‘Browser’ from the drop down.
